In a realm dominated by ideas of perception, disguise is very common, and foes masquerading as friends are always a risk. That said, even in Reverie the creation of a compelling disguise is difficult and many will simply not bother unless they have a specific agenda. And even when they do bother, such disguises are rarely perfect and the observant can usually find inaccuracies if they look close enough.

A disguised imposter will appear wrong in some concrete sensory way. A tattoo might be the wrong color. A Felicitoro ring might be on the left hand. Or there might be some auditory discrepancy such as the presence or lack of a verbal affectation.
