My initial research on coming to Oak Harbor was based on the rumors outside of town as I approached. I looked into “What's the difference between a “Nightmare defiled by Void” and a regular Nightmare?” and found a scroll saying the following:
Nightmares live within all of us. They reflect our fears. Our knowledge of our own mortality. Our anticipation of the pain that lies ahead.
And yet, there are limits to what can be done if you rely only upon the individual’s own mind to damage their body or sever their spirit. It is slow and laborious. It can affects merely their body or mind or spirit. There is so much more that can be done, that we could imagine and destroy and empower, if only we involve Void.
Though that can have consequences of its own.
The next gathering, I tried to figure out the name of the person who wrote that passage, and names of some other scrolls they might have written.
That scroll was unattributed and I had little idea how to go about deducing the author. Furthermore, it seems that most scrolls about using nightmares to cause harm are unattributed. However, in looking for information about people who have written scrolls on the topic I encountered the following name: Spark of the Lighting Kith.
